A LYNC initiative · Standing with the people of Ukraine
Children and families

Help a child
look ahead
with hope.

War can follow a child long after they leave danger. Trauma healing creates space to express feelings, build trust, and begin to feel more secure.

Trauma Healing

Recovery needs
people who listen.

Loss, displacement, and fear can change a child’s everyday world. Supporting recovery means making room for their experiences, at their own pace.

LYNC’s published trauma healing project brought together group sessions, individual counseling, creative workshops, and exercises to help children and families cope with stress.

Working with Ukrainian partners and therapy teams, the program adapted to interruptions such as power outages and air raids so support could continue.

Small steps matter

Room to create.
Time to reconnect.

A drawing. A conversation. The confidence to join a group.

LYNC’s report describes children gradually sharing their feelings, connecting with others, and using coping skills in daily life. The work centers on trust and individual needs.

Continued support helps make more of these moments possible for children and families affected by war.
